As the founder of Sand & Shores, Tonya McKenzie brings more than 20 years of experience in business development, public relations, marketing, and client relations. Her non-profit experience includes being an Associate Executive Director, raising over a million dollars to open a new YMCA in Northern California, serving as the first Black elected Director for the Oakley Chamber of Commerce, being appointed to the Youth Council for Contra Costa County by Supervisor Federal Glover http://federalglover.com/, currently serves on the Redondo Beach Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, and as the president of the North Redondo Beach Business Association. Tonya chartered a graduate chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc in Northern California, currently holds a seat on the Redondo Beach Police Department Engagement Board and the City of Redondo Beach GPAC.
This alumni of California State University, Northridge has 4 amazing kids and has been married 19 years.
