Rosie O’Neill is a newbie entrepreneur with a major sweet tooth. In August 2012, alongside her co-founder and fiancé Josh Resnick, she launched her first company, Sugarfina, a luxury candy boutique. Inspired by a third-date screening of Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, Rosie and Josh dreamed up a “candy boutique for grown-ups” featuring the finest sweets from artisan candy makers around the world. Named to Fast Company’s “100 Most Creative People” list, and Goldman Sachs’ “100 Most Intriguing Entrepreneurs,” Rosie is disrupting the sweets space with an innovative approach to confections and retail.

Before candy, Rosie played with dolls for 7 years as Director of Marketing for Barbie, where she led a global business unit that sold more than 50 million Barbie dolls annually. She received her MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management and a BA in Communication Studies from UCLA. Her favorite candies are Champagne Bears and Pink Flamingos.

The first shop opened November 2013 in Beverly Hills and now includes over 50 locations across North America in major cities such as New York, Los Angeles, Boston, Chicago and Vancouver. As an omnichannel brand, Sugarfina also has a thriving website, custom and corporate gifting business, events business, and wholesale presence at top retailers such as Bergdorf Goodman, Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, Bloomingdales, and Saks Fifth Avenue.
